Thornton Manor is a grade II listed Elizabethan house built in the middle of the 19th century, and is set in the middle of the picturesque British country side and is as grand as you would expect from the Main house to the Grooms cottage and the lake side Marquee Thornton Manor is the complete wedding venue.
The Lakeside Marquee is set off away from the main building surrounded by trees and open fields and when the sun sets on the lake its lit up in a fantastic golden light
The Marquee is a short drive away from the main house once you arrive you are met by a large set of wooden steps with a beautiful arch that lead to the the lake side. The path with the lake on one side and towering hedges on the other guides you to the Marquee.THORNTON MANOR| LAKE SIDE MARQUEE
LAKE SIDE MARQUEE | CEREMONY ROOM
The ceremony room is located at the front of the marquee and looks out on to the lake the light colour of the marquee ceiling lets the light flood in and illuminates the entire space perfectly. After the ceremony the space is cleared and makes way for guests seating.
THE GUARD HOUSE | GROOM COTTAGE
The “Guard House” is the first thing you see when entering the Manor and is full of traditional features, With views of the countryside from the second floor windows this is the perfect setting of brides to get ready and relax.
A stones throw away is the “Grooms Cottage” and again is full of period features and sweeping views
It doesn’t matter what time of the year Thornton manor always delivers no matter what part to the estate you choose from the main house to the Lake side Marquee the vast grounds are breath taking
